Internet domuz gribiyle büyüyecek
Bu seferki bir eylemsiz teori değil, düpedüz komplo teorisi. Ve umarım bir komplo teorisinden öteye gidemez!
Geçenlerde domuz gribiyle ilgili bir haber izlerken tuhaf ama bir o kadar da gerçekçi düşüncelere daldım. Virüs yavaş yavaş tüm dünyaya yayılıyor; havaalanlarında kontroller sıkılaşıyor, turizm ve ticaret olumsuz etkileniyor, anneler çocuklarını okula gönderirken bile iki kere düşünüyor. Korku ve paranoya virüsten daha hızlı yayılıyor. Bu durum küresel ekonomik krizin etkileriyle bir araya geldiğinde daha az dışarı çıkan, daha çok evde vakit geçiren bir “şehirli insan” profili ortaya çıkıyor. Evde geçirilen süre arttıkça internet kullanımı da artıyor olsa gerek.
Zamanı biraz ileri sarıyorum. Düşünün ki domuz gribi tüm dünyaya iyice yayılmış, insanlar maskelerini takmadan sokağa çıkmaz olmuş. Kafeler, restoranlar, sinemalar, tiyatrolar, alışveriş merkezleri; kısaca dışarıda sosyalleşilebilecek hiçbir yere gidilmez olmuş virüs bulaşır korkusuyla. İşinden, okulundan arta kalan zamanı herkes evinde geçirir olmuş. Ve H1N1’in bulaşamayacağı tek ortamda, internette sosyalleşmekten başka çaresi kalmamış insanoğlunun

Internet will grow as swine flu spreads
This one is not another action lacking theory, it is what you call a conspiracy theory and I hope it won’t go beyond that!
The virus is gradually spreading all around the world; health checks at airports are getting stricter, tourism and trade are negatively influenced, parents think twice on sending their kids to school. Fear and paranoia is spreading even faster than the virus. Combined with the effects of the global recession, this situation forces people to go out less and stay at home more. Internet usage most probably rises together with the time spent at home.
Here is a projection on the long term consequences. Think of a world where this epidemic hits the climax. People will not be stepping out without wearing their masks. With the fear of the disease, nobody will be socializing at cafés, restaurants, movie theaters, or malls. Instead, people will be running back home after work or school. The only safe medium left for socializing will be Internet, the one and only place where H1N1 cannot spread…
As I wished at the beginning of this post, I hope this won’t go beyond a conspiracy theory.
